Buckton Vale Primary School Celebrates Ofsted Report
We are delighted to announce that Buckton Vale Primary in Stalybridge has received a highly positive Ofsted report following its inspection in January 2026. Inspectors concluded that the school meets national standards securely across all areas, identifying particular strengths in safeguarding, behaviour, personal development and the quality of education.
The report praises Buckton Vale for fostering a calm, supportive and aspirational environment in which pupils behave well, feel safe and demonstrate a genuine desire to learn. Inspectors highlighted that pupils take real pride in their work and benefit from clear, consistent routines that enable them to stay focused and achieve well. The curriculum was also recognised as a key strength. Mathematics was singled out as an area in which pupils achieve significantly above national averages, reflecting the school’s high expectations and secure subject expertise.
The report also commends the school’s commitment to inclusion, noting that pupils develop a secure sense of self‑worth and enjoy a rich variety of enrichment activities that broaden their experiences and nurture their talents.
Headteacher Kelly Quinn welcomed the findings, saying:

The report reflects the dedication of our staff and the determination of our children to do their best. Inspectors highlighted the thoughtful way our curriculum is organised and the positive attitudes pupils bring to their learning. I am delighted that our commitment to nurturing the whole child — academically, socially and emotionally — has been acknowledged so clearly.
