Aldwyn Primary celebrates positive Ofsted report

We are delighted to celebrate a positive Ofsted inspection at Aldwyn Primary School in Audenshaw, which recognised the school’s continuing improvement, high-quality relationships and pupils’ love of learning.

Following its inspection on 23 June 2026, Ofsted found that Aldwyn Primary School met the expected standard across all areas inspected, with inspectors recognising the school’s positive and effective culture of safeguarding, where pupils feel safe and well supported. The report also highlights the school’s continued progress, stating that “the success of the school is gathering momentum and improving steadily.”

The report describes Aldwyn as a “calm, happy school”, where pupils are polite, thoughtful and cooperative and “love learning”. Inspectors also highlighted reading as a whole-school strength and noted that pupils’ attainment in reading, writing and mathematics combined, including for disadvantaged pupils, is above average.

The school was also praised for its inclusive approach, with inspectors finding that disadvantaged pupils flourish in their academic, social and emotional development and that pupils with SEND receive effective support.

Our contribution to Aldwyn’s ongoing development was also recognised by inspectors, who stated that “the Trust contributes well to the overall vision and improvement of the school”.

Inspectors concluded that pupils enjoy school, feel safe and are well prepared for secondary school.
